Nook Adventures

have you ever seen beauty that is greater than the beauty in words?

progress report

Burn for Burn - Jenny Han, Siobhan Vivian

so i don't love this book to death but it's better than the last two i've read. I think all of the girls have distinct personalities and i honestly love Kat. However i'm REALLY REALLY confused. they keep making it seem like one of the characters has some sort of super power.... This wasnt mentioned in the bio and doesnt fit with anything in the storyline. Even if its gonna just her being paranoid its completely pointless i dont get it.

My Awesome/Awful Popularity Plan - Seth Rudetsky

i'm reading this book for a club at my school and i'm gonna stick it out for that. This is one of the most annoying characters i've ever seen. he's completely selfish and ignorant. he thinks he's in love with this boy because the boy is "hot".

He's dropping his only true friend to be popular and finds even more annoying ways to justify it. I suppose this is supposed to be the whole lesson and moral of the book but the author could've done it without such an idiotic 12 year old narration. sigh.

reading update

All Unquiet Things - Anna Jarzab

i picked this up awhile ago at barnes and nobles and i put it aside because shortly after i got my nook. So, this is the first book i've actually held in my hand for awhile.

I'm excited to read this, however the premise sort of reminds me of Wish You Were Dead by Todd Strasser so i'm worried i'll be experiencing some deja vu.

Wish me luck

Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake

Girl of Nightmares - Kendare Blake

i hate my life is all I can think right now.

i read this in less than two days because i couldn't stop. This gave me so many different emotions that i can't really explain. The ending sucked but only emotionally, from a literary perspective it was great.

I only have one unanswered question, just one, and i'm hoping there will be a third book to answer it.

Anna Dressed In Blood by Kendare Blake

Anna Dressed in Blood - Kendare Blake

Finishing this book hurt, to say the least. Considering i just made a post about how much i loved Anna makes this really really painful. I could have cried if i wasn't sitting in the living room with family. I loved this book, and i'm looking forward to reading the second

Anna Dressed in Blood - Kendare Blake

i'm really loving Anna Dressed In Blood. I've never loved an "enemy" so much. Anna is such a sweet character and makes you want to hug her. Also, considering she's dead and kills people, she's pretty damn relatable

planning to read

i've somehow managed to stack up on emotional books in my plan to read shelf, how have i done this to myself?
